Correlation Analysis of Imaging Manifestations and Pathological Features of Pancreatoblastoma in Children
PENG Yaozong, YIN Yiwei, LI Chunwang, et al
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.001
【Objective】
To explore the correlation between imaging manifestations and pathological features of pancreatoblastoma in children, and to improve the diagnostic accuracy of this disease.
【Methods】
The clinical data of 9 children pathologically confirmed as pancreatoblastoma after surgery were retrospectively analyzed. The CT and MRI imaging data of the children were detailedly analyzed and compared with the pathological results.
【Results】
The tumors occurred in the pancreatic head region in 3 cases, in the pancreatic body region in 5 cases, and in both the pancreatic body and tail regions in 1 case. CT showed mixed-density masses with lobulated shapes; necrosis and calcification were observed in all 9 cases. The masses showed heterogeneous mild enhancement in the arterial phase of enhanced scan, and progressive enhancement in 6 cases. On MRI, the masses presented low signal or intermediate signal intensity on T
1
WI and isointense or hyperintense signal intensity on T
2
WI, with heterogeneous enhancement after contrast administration; main pancreatic duct dilatation was found in 1 case. Tumors with clear boundaries on imaging usually had relatively complete fibrous capsules on histopathological sections, while those with blurred boundaries often indicated that tumor cells infiltrated into the surrounding tissues with incomplete or absent capsules. The enhancement pattern of tumors on imaging was closely related to the vascular distribution of tumors on histopathological sections.
【Conclusion】
Pancreatoblastoma has certain characteristic manifestations on different imaging examinations and is closely correlated with pathological changes. Imaging examinations play an important role in the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and preoperative evaluation of pancreatoblastoma in children. Combining with pathological features can further improve the accuracy and reliability of diagnosis, providing a strong basis for formulating clinical treatment plans.

Expression Level and Significance of circ_0000847 in Lung Cancer Tissues
DING Lingyan, TANG Zhaohui, LI Lizhi
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.002
【Objective】
To investigate the expression level and significance of circ_0000847 in lung cancer tissues.
【Methods】
Lung cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues were collected from 29 patients with lung cancer who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2022. Normal bronchial epithelial cell line HBE and lung cancer cell lines H1299 and A549 were selected. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expression level of circ_0000847 in each tissue and cell line. H1299 and A549 cells in logarithmic growth phase were transfected with si-NC (si-NC group) and si-circ_0000847 (si-circ_0000847 group), respectively. At 48 hours after transfection, methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) colorimetry, flow cytometry and Transwell assay were used to detect and compare cell viability, apoptosis and invasion ability.
【Results】
The relative expression level of circ_0000847 in lung cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues (P<0.05). Before transfection, the relative expression levels of circ_0000847 in H1299 and A549 cells were significantly higher than those in HBE cells (P<0.05). After transfection, compared with the si-NC group, the relative expression level of circ_0000847 in H1299 and A549 cells in the si-circ_0000847 group was significantly decreased (P<0.05). Compared with the si-NC group, the cell viability of H1299 and A549 cells in the si-circ_0000847 group was decreased (P<0.05), the apoptosis rate was increased (P<0.05), and the number of invasive cells was decreased (P<0.05).
【Conclusion】
circ_0000847 is highly expressed in lung cancer tissues and is involved in the proliferation and invasion of lung cancer cells. Interference with circ_0000847 expression reduces the proliferation and invasion of lung cancer cells and increases their apoptosis.

Correlation Study Between Body Composition and Vitamin D Levels in School-Age Children
LI Songting, ZHAO Sha, JIANG Yaohui, et al
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.003
【Objective】
To investigate the correlation between body composition indices and vitamin D levels in school-age children.
【Methods】
A total of 440 school-age children aged 7-12 years who visited the outpatient department of Child Health Care in Hunan Children's Hospital from March to September 2020 were enrolled. According to their vitamin D levels, the children with vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency were assigned to the abnormal vitamin D group (n=171), and those with sufficient vitamin D were assigned to the normal vitamin D group (n=269). Bioelectrical impedance analysis was used to measure body composition indices including body fat mass (BF), protein, mineral salts, total body water, skeletal muscle mass (SMM), visceral fat area (VFA), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), and body fat percentage (BFP). Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation between body composition indices and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25-(OH)D] levels, and logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate the effects of different body composition indices on vitamin D nutritional status.
【Results】
The levels of BF, protein, mineral salts, total body water, SMM and VFA in the normal vitamin D group were significantly lower than those in the abnormal vitamin D group (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that BF, protein, mineral salts, total body water, SMM, VFA, WHR and BFP were all negatively correlated with vitamin D levels, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that the regression coefficient of BF was 0.172, with an odds ratio (
OR
) of 1.187 [95% confidence interval(
CI
):1.004, 1.404] (P<0.05); the regression coefficient of WHR was 6.365, with an OR of 581.434 (95%
CI
: 12.150, 27 824.271) (P<0.05).
【Conclusion】
Body composition indices are correlated with vitamin D levels in school-age children. Among these indices, body fat mass and waist-to-hip ratio are predictive variables for abnormal vitamin D status.

Risk Factors and Nomogram Prediction Model for Intracranial Infection after Artificial Dura Mater Patch Implantation
FENG Jixiang, ZENG Lei, JIANG Xiaolong, et al
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.004
【Objective】
To investigate the risk factors for intracranial infection following artificial dura mater patch implantation (ADMP) and to establish a risk prediction model.
【Methods】
The clinical data of 231 patients who underwent ADMP were retrospectively analyzed. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify independent risk factors for postoperative intracranial infection, and a nomogram prediction model was constructed based on the results. The model's performance was evaluated using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration curve, and decision curve analysis (DCA).
【Results】
Among the 231 patients, 23 cases (9.96%) developed intracranial infection. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that prolonged operative time, graft type, preoperative infection history, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage were independent risk factors for postoperative intracranial infection (P<0.05). The nomogram model demonstrated an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.933. The calibration curve indicated good agreement between predicted and observed risks of intracranial infection. Decision curve analysis showed that the model could effectively improve the accuracy of clinical decision-making.
【Conclusion】
Prolonged operative time, graft type, preoperative infection history, and CSF leakage significantly increase the risk of intracranial infection after ADMP. The prediction model based on these factors exhibits good discrimination and calibration, providing valuable reference for early identification of high-risk patients and optimization of clinical management strategies.

Diagnostic Value of Cranial MRI Combined with Transcranial Sonography of the Substantia Nigra in Differentiating Parkinson's Disease from Vascular Parkinsonism
ZHENG Shiru, REN Yafang, WANG Chunhui, et al
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.005
【Objective】
To investigate the diagnostic value of cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) combined with transcranial sonography (TCS) of the substantia nigra in differentiating Parkinson's disease (PD) from vascular parkinsonism (VPS).
【Methods】
Thirty-eight PD patients (the PD group), 30 VPS patients (the VPS group), and 37 healthy volunteers (the control group) were enrolled. Cranial MRI and TCS findings were compared among the three groups. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to analyze the diagnostic value of MRI and TCS for PD and VPS.
【Results】
The width of the pars compacta of the substantia nigra (WPCSN) and the WPCSN/midbrain diameter ratio were significantly lower in both the PD and VPS groups compared to the control group, with the PD group showing lower values than the VPS group (all P<0.05). The bilateral hyperechogenic areas of the substantia nigra, the total hyperechogenic area, and the ratio of hyperechogenic area to total midbrain area (S/M) in the PD and VPS groups were significantly higher than those in the control group, and they were higher in the PD group than in the VPS group (all P<0.05). Among the individual MRI and TCS parameters, the bilateral S/M showed the highest diagnostic value for differentiating PD from VPS. Combined MRI and TCS assessment demonstrated higher diagnostic performance than any single MRI or TCS parameter.
【Conclusion】
The combined application of both cranial MRI and TCS can significantly improve the diagnostic efficiency in distinguishing PD from VPS, providing a valuable and noninvasive imaging basis for accurate clinical differentiation.

Predictive Value of Dynamic Monitoring of Minimal Residual Disease Levels after Induction Chemotherapy for Short-Term Prognosis in Children with Acute Myeloid Leukemia
SUN Jia, LIU Junshan, XIE Xin
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.006
【Objective】
To investigate the predictive value of dynamic monitoring of minimal residual disease (MRD) levels after induction chemotherapy for short-term prognosis in children with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
【Methods】
Ninety-six children with AML were enrolled and divided into a poor prognosis group (n=35) and a good prognosis group (n=61) according to disease progression within 12 months after completion of chemotherapy. Clinical parameters and MRD levels after the first and second courses of induction chemotherapy were compared between the two groups. The dynamic MRD evolution patterns and their predictive value for prognosis were analyzed based on MRD results.
【Results】
There were no significant differences in age, sex, or French-American-British(FAB) classification between the two groups (P>0.05). Compared with the good prognosis group, the poor prognosis group had higher initial white blood cell (WBC) counts, higher Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) scores, a greater proportion of bone marrow blasts ≥50%, and a higher incidence of high-risk chromosome karyotypes, while platelet counts (PLT) were lower (P<0.05). The MRD-positive rates after the first and second induction chemotherapy cycles in the poor prognosis group were significantly higher than those in the good prognosis group (P<0.05). The distribution of dynamic MRD evolution patterns differed significantly between the two groups (P<0.05), with the persistent positive pattern predominating in the poor prognosis group. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed that MRD positivity after the first and second induction chemotherapy cycles, as well as dynamic MRD evolution patterns, could effectively predict relapse risk in children with AML. The dynamic MRD evolution demonstrated superior predictive performance (P<0.05).
【Conclusion】
The dynamic evolution pattern of MRD provides better predictive value for relapse risk in children with AML than single-point MRD detection after the first or second induction chemotherapy, and can serve as an important reference indicator for prognosis assessment.

LIU Sujuan, ZHOU Xiaofen, WANG Dapeng
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.007
【Objective】
To investigate the correlation between the expression levels of long non-coding RNA(LncRNA) SNHG16 and SNHG19 in breast cancer tissues and the pathological characteristics as well as prognosis of patients.
【Methods】
The expression levels of LncRNA SNHG16 and SNHG19 were detected in breast cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues from 98 patients with breast cancer. Their associations with pathological features and prognosis were analyzed.
【Results】
The expression levels of LncRNA SNHG16 and SNHG19 in breast cancer tissues were significantly higher than those in adjacent normal tissues (both P<0.05). Patients with high expression levels of LncRNA SNHG16 and SNHG19 had significantly lower 3-year survival rates than those with low expression (both P<0.05). The expression levels of LncRNA SNHG16 and SNHG19 were significantly correlated with patient age, estrogen receptor (ER) status, progesterone receptor (PR) status, and lymph node metastasis (all P<0.05). Additionally,LncRNA SNHG19 expression was significantly associated with TNM staging (P<0.05). Advanced age, ER negativity, PR negativity, TNM stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ, lymph node metastasis, high LncRNA SNHG16 expression, and high LncRNA SNHG19 expression were all risk factors affecting patient prognosis (all P<0.05).
【Conclusion】
LncRNA SNHG16 and SNHG19 may act as important biomarkers for poor prognosis in breast cancer. They can provide references for diagnosis, prognostic evaluation, and treatment of breast cancer.

WANG Xia, YU Xia, WANG Ping, et al
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.010
【Objective】
To investigate the distribution characteristics and antibiotic resistance of pathogens causing urinary tract infections (UTIs) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
【Methods】
A retrospective analysis was conducted on 1413 CKD patients. Urine culture specimens were subjected to microbial identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing. The infection characteristics and drug resistance patterns of the pathogens were analyzed.
【Results】
Among the 1413 specimens, 223 were urine culture-positive, with a positive rate of 15.78%. The positive rate in male patients was 15.37% (95/618) and the positive rate in female patients was 16.10% (128/795), with no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Among the Gram-negative bacteria (G
-
) isolated from CKD patients, Escherichia coli was the most common (23.39%), followed by Klebsiella pneumoniae (14.92%) and Enterobacter faecalis (13.71%). The resistance rates of E. coli to ceftriaxone and levofloxacin both exceeded 80.00%, while K. pneumoniae showed the highest resistance to levofloxacin (81.08%). Both pathogens remained highly sensitive to imipenem and amikacin, with resistance rates below 10.00%. Among the main Gram-positive bacteria (G
+
), Enterococcus faecalis exhibited 100.00% resistance to ceftriaxone, and Enterococcus faecium showed 100.00% resistance to ceftazidime. These two major G
+
isolates were fully susceptible to vancomycin and linezolid.
【Conclusion】
The pathogens causing urinary tract infections in CKD patients are diverse, with Escherichia coli being the most common. The isolated pathogens exhibit varying resistance patterns, highlighting the importance of selecting antibiotics based on pathogen-specific resistance profiles in clinical practice.

Predictive Value of Combined Detection of Sex Hormone levels, Uterine Ultrasound Parameters and Bone Age Index in Girls with Rapidly Progressive Central Precocious Puberty
WEN Huan, LIU Lingping, LIU Jinqiao
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.013
【Objective】
To explore the predictive value of combined detection of sex hormone levels, uterine ultrasound parameters and bone age index in girls with rapidly progressive central precocious puberty (RP-CPP).
【Methods】
A total of 168 girls initially diagnosed with central precocious puberty (CPP) in our hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects. According to the progression rate of puberty, they were divided into the RP-CPP group (n=88) and the slowly progressive central precocious puberty (SP-CPP) group (n=80). The clinical data of the two groups were compared. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the influencing factors for the progression of CPP to RP-CPP in girls. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was adopted to analyze the predictive value of uterine volume and bone age index for the progression of CPP to RP-CPP in girls.
【Results】
There were significant differences in height, weight, body mass index (BMI), luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, bone age index, uterine volume and mean ovarian volume between the RP-CPP group and the SP-CPP group at the initial diagnosis (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that bone age index and uterine volume were the influencing factors for the progression of CPP to RP-CPP in girls. ROC curve analysis indicated that when the bone age index was 1.20, the area under the curve (AUC) of bone age index for predicting the progression of CPP to RP-CPP in girls was 0.686; when the uterine volume was 1.664 mL, the AUC of uterine volume for predicting the progression of CPP to RP-CPP in girls was 0.805.
【Conclusion】
Bone age index and uterine volume have certain predictive value for the progression of CPP to RP-CPP in girls. When the bone age index is 1.20 and the uterine volume is 1.664 mL, it suggests a high possibility of CPP progressing to RP-CPP in girls, and these indicators can be used as auxiliary indexes for the diagnosis of RP-CPP.

DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.014
【Objective】
To investigate the application of three-dimensional (3D) technology based on digital subtraction angiography (DSA) in neurointerventional thrombectomy for patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS).
【Methods】
A total of 72 AIS patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 36 patients in each group. The control group received intravenous thrombolytic therapy, while the observation group underwent neurointerventional thrombectomy assisted by DSA-based 3D technology in addition to intravenous thrombolysis. The vascular recanalization rate and cerebral hemodynamic parameters[middle cerebral arterial mean velocity (MV), cerebrovascular resistance (RV), and pulsatility index (PI)] were compared between the two groups at 1 week after treatment. Neurological function including modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score was assessed before treatment, at 1 week, and at 3 months after treatment.
【Results】
At 1 week after treatment, the vascular recanalization rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group. The observation group had a higher MV and lower RV and PI than the control group (P< 0.05). The mRS and NIHSS scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group at both 1 week and 3 months (P< 0.05). The overall incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was also lower than that in the control group (P< 0.05).
【Conclusion】
DSA-based 3D technology-assisted neurointerventional thrombectomy can significantly improve vascular recanalization, enhance cerebral perfusion, promote neurological recovery in AIS patients, and has good safety.

LIU Xiao, LU Zhe
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.017
【Objective】
To investigate the development of a predictive model for post-stroke epilepsy cognitive impairment (PSCI) in elderly patients, based on neurotrophic factors and quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) indicators.
【Methods】
A total of 106 elderly patients with post-stroke epilepsy were enrolled. According to the Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Basic (MoCA-B) scores, patients were divided into the PSCI (post-stroke epilepsy cognitive impairment) group (79 cases) and the PSCN (post-stroke epilepsy cognitive normal) group (27 cases). Serum levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), nerve growth factor (NGF), and QEEG indicators [α wave, β wave, θ wave, δ wave ratio,θ/α(TAR), and (θ+δ)/(α+β)(DTABR) ratio] were compared between the two groups. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to identify influencing factors of PSCI in elderly patients with post-stroke epilepsy. A nomogram prediction model was then constructed, and its predictive performance and accuracy were evaluated.
【Results】
The PSCI group showed lower BDNF and α-wave ratio, and higher NGF, θ wave ratio, TAR, and DTABR compared with the PSCN group (all P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in β wave or δ wave between the two groups (P>0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that BDNF and α wave ratio were protective factors for PSCI, while NGF, θ wave, TAR, and DTABR were risk factors. Model validation demonstrated a concordance index of 0.932, with the calibration curve closely aligned with the ideal curve, indicating good accuracy and consistency.
【Conclusion】
A predictive model based on neurotrophic factors and QEEG indicators can effectively assess the risk of cognitive impairment in elderly patients with post-stroke epilepsy, providing a valuable reference for clinical practice.

SHAO Xinwei, XU Songshan, ZHOU Jinge
DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1671-7171.2025.12.019
【Objective】
To explore the application effect of percutaneous minimally invasive pedicle screw internal fixation combined with posterior decompression and bone grafting in elderly patients with spinal fractures.
【Methods】
A total of 108 elderly patients with spinal fractures admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to December 2024 were selected and divided into the control group (treated with percutaneous minimally invasive pedicle screw internal fixation) and the observation group (treated with percutaneous minimally invasive pedicle screw internal fixation combined with posterior decompression and bone grafting), with 54 cases in each group. The surgical-related indicators, spinal function [Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) score], pain degree [Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score], and vertebral body recovery were compared between the two groups.
【Results】
The intraoperative blood loss in the observation group was greater than that in the control group, and the operation time and incision healing time were longer than those in the control group (P<0.05). At 3 months after surgery, there was no statistically significant difference in the VAS score between the two groups (P>0.05). The ODI score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), the posterior convex Cobb angle of the vertebral body in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the anterior and middle height of the vertebral body were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).
【Conclusion】
Although percutaneous minimally invasive pedicle screw internal fixation combined with posterior decompression and bone grafting prolongs the operation time and incision healing time and increases blood loss, it can more effectively improve the spinal function of patients with spinal fractures, correct vertebral body deformity, and maintain vertebral body height.
