Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the levels and significance of serum activin A (ACT-A), cystatin C (Cys-C) and B-type brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in patients with acute heart failure. 【Methods】 From January 2017 to March 2018, 98 AHF patients (observation group) and 100 healthy persons in the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of ACT-A, BNP and Cys-C were compared between the two groups, and the levels of ACT-A, BNP and Cys-C in AHF patients with different NYHA grades were compared.【Results】 The serum levels of act-a, Cys-C and BNP in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The serum levels of ACT-A, Cys-C and BNP in patients with NYHA grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ in the observation group were significantly higher than those in patients with gradeⅠ~Ⅱ (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that ACT-A was positively correlated with BNP (r=0.672, P<0.05), but not with Cys-C (P>0.05); Cys-C was not correlated with BNP (P>0.05).【Conclusion】 The serum levels of ACT-A, Cys-C and BNP are significantly increased in AHF patients, which is related to the severity of the disease.
