Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the relationship between plasma connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) and plasma B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), cardiac function and myocardial remodeling in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF).【Methods】From January 2016 to December 2017, 120 CHF patients (observation group) and 120 healthy volunteers (control group) were selected. The CTGF and BNP of the two groups were measured. The left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDd), left atrial diameter (LAP), left ventricular posterior wall thickness (LVPW), left ventricular mass index (LVMI), left ventricular remodeling index (LVRI), cardiac output (CO) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were measured. Linear regression was used to study the correlation between CTGF and each index.【Results】The levels of CTGF and BNP in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of LVEDd, lap, LVPW, LVMI and LVRI in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the levels of CO and LVEF% in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). In the observation group, there was a significant positive correlation between CTGF level and BNP, LVRI (rBNP=0.718,rLVRI=0.774, all P<0.05); there was a significant negative correlation between CTGF level and Co, LVEF% (rCO=-0.529,rLVEF=-0.577, all P<0.05).【Conclusion】The concentration of CTGF in CHF patients increases significantly, and CTGF expression is closely related to cardiac remodeling and cardiac function in CHF patients.
