Abstract:【Objective】To evaluate speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) in judgement of the left ventricular function in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) after selective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). 【Methods】From January 2016 to April 2017, 92 STEMI patients (observation group) were selected from our hospital, and 60 patients (excluding coronary artery lesions) who had coronary CTA examination due to chest pain at the same time were selected as the control group. Both groups were given stem examination. The global longitudinal strain (GLS), global radial strain (GRS), global circumferential strain (GCS) and global area strain (GAS) were recorded and compared between the two groups. Left ventricular end diastolic volume (LVEDV), left ventricular end systolic volume (LVESV) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were compared between the two groups.【Results】The GLS, GRS, GCS and gas of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group before and 12 months after PCI, and the GLS, GRS, GCS and gas of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the PCI group (P<0.05). LVEDV and LVESV in the observation group were higher than those in the control group before and 12 months after PCI, and LVEF was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05); LVEDV and LVESV in the observation group were lower than that before PCI, and LVEF was higher than that before PCI, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that GLS, GRS, GCS, GAS and LVEF were significantly positively correlated (r=0.405,0.413,0.387,0.422, respectively, P<0.05).【Conclusion】Spot tracking echocardiography(STE)can be used to evaluate the cardiac function of STEMI patients after PCI, which is worthy of clinical application.
