Abstract:【Objective】To explore the changes of serum superoxide dismutase (SOD), C-reactive protein (CRP), homocysteine (Hcy) and cystatin C (Cys-C) in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). 【Methods】A total of 20 GDM patients (GDM group) who were admitted to our hospital from March to August 2018 were selected. Twenty-four normal pregnant women in the same period were selected as normal pregnancy group (control group). The levels of serum FPG (fasting blood glucose), SOD, CRP, Hcy, Cys-C , FINS, HOMA-IR, HOMA-beta of the two groups were detected and compared. The correlation between SOD, CRP, Hcy, Cys-C and HOMA-IR, HOMA-beta was analyzed. 【Results】The levels of FPG, CRP, Hcy, HOMA-IR and Cys-C in the GDM group were significantly higher than those in normal pregnancy control group (P<0.05). The level of SOD in the normal pregnancy group was higher than that in the GDM group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in HOMA-beta between the two groups (P>0.05). HOMA-IR was positively correlated with CRP, Hcy and Cys-C in the GDM group, while HOMA-IR was negatively correlated with SOD (P<0.05).However, HOMA-IR had no significant correlation with HOMA-β (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】The occurrence of gestational diabetes mellitus leads to the changes of serum SOD, CRP, Hcy and Cys-C levels. The levels of serum CRP, Hcy and Cys-C in GDM pregnant women were significantly increased, while SOD was significantly decreased. HOMA-IR was positively correlated with CRP, Hcy and Cys-C, and negatively correlated with SOD. These indicators can be used as a dynamic detection index for gestational diabetes mellitus patients.
