Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the cognitive impairment and influencing factors in patients with sleep disorders and depression. 【Methods】A total of 160 patients with sleep disorders in our hospital from November 2014 to September 2016 were enrolled in this study. Among them, 60 patients with depression were treated as group A and 100 patients with simple sleep disorder as group B. Tests with repetitive neuropsychological status (RBANS) were used to evaluate the cognitive function of the two groups. The factors related to the cognitive impairment were explored by multivariate regression analysis method. 【Results】 The immediate memory, breadth of vision, speech function, attention, time- delayed memory and the total score of RBANS in group A were significantly lower than those in group B. the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The detection rate of cognitive impairment in group A was 46.67% (28/60), which was significantly higher than that in group B 7%(7/100). The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Carotid stenosis, prolonged course of sleep disorders and depression were independent risk factors for cognitive dysfunction in patients with sleep disorders (OR=2.296, OR=1.574, OR=1.309,P<0.05). 【Conclusion】Carotid stenosis, prolonged course of sleep disorders and depression are independent risk factors for cognitive dysfunction in patients with sleep disorders. Sleep disorders associated with depression will further increase the cognitive impairment of patients, so we must pay attention to the treatment of patients with depression.
