Abstract:【Objective】To study the relationship between the thickness of retinal nerve fiber layer and diopter. 【Methods】 A total of 90 eyes from 53 myopia patients in our department of ophthalmology between June 2014 to March 2016 were selected. The retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and axial length of patients were measured by optical correlation tomography (OCT). The relationship between RNFL thickness and diopter was analyzed by linear regression. 【Results】The mean RNFL thickness of 90 eyes from 53 myopic patients was (107.01±14.14)μm. There was no significant difference between men and women (P>0.05). RNFL thickness was positively correlated with diopter (r=0.347,P=0.001) and negatively correlated with axial length (r=-0.585,P=0.000). 【Conclusion】In the measurement of RNFL thickness, the impact of diopter and axial length should be considered to avoid misdiagnosis that may result in irreversible change in patients with glaucoma.
