Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the effect of Visfatin-1535C/T gene polymorphism on acute myocardial infarction (AMI). 【Methods】The clinical data of 142 patients with AMI admitted to our hospital from February 2015 to May 2018 (observation group) were selected. Meanwhile, 280 healthy volunteers were selected as control group. Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RLFP) was used to detect the genetic polymorphism of Visfatin-1535 in each group, and ELISA was used to detect the level of serum Visfatin.【Results】The polymorphism distribution of 1535 locus of Visfatin gene in observation group and control group accorded with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The proportion of CC genotype and C allele in 1535 locus of Visfatin gene in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) in the proportion of Visfatin 1535 locus genotype and allele (P>0.05). The serum Visfatin level of CC genotype patients was significantly higher than that of CT and TT genotypes, and the CT genotype was significantly higher than that of TT genotype patients (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in gender and age of patients with different genotypes (P>0.05).【Conclusion】The polymorphism of Visfatin-1535C/T gene is related to the pathogenesis of AMI and the level of serum Visfatin. Allele C plays an important role in the pathogenesis of AMI.
