Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the clinical efficacy and application of radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of benign thyroid tumors. 【Methods】A total of 63 patients with benign thyroid tumors were treated with radiofrequency ablation. The patient's thyroid function, tumor shrinkage, quality of life, cosmetic satisfaction, and complications were examined. 【Results】①The blood levels of free triiodothyronine (FT3), free tetraiodothyronine (FT4) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) were within the normal range before and 1 month after treatment. ②The tumor volumes at 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after treatment were significantly reduced compared to before treatment (P<0.05). ③The total effective rate of cosmetic satisfaction after treatment was 96.83% (61/63). The quality of life improved significantly after treatment.④There were 4 cases of complications; the incidence rate was 6.35%. All patients had no serious complications such as skin burns, thyroid damage, and bleeding. 【Conclusion】Radiofrequency ablation technique has a good therapeutic effect on the treatment of benign thyroid tumors. RFA does not damage the thyroid gland, which can improve the quality of life and reduce the complications of patients. Thus, it has a good clinical application prospect.
