Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the correlation between adenosine triphosphate binding cassette family G2 (ABCG2) gene polymorphism and prognosis in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). 【Methods】 A total of 123 TBI patients admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Medical College from January 2018 to May 2020 were selected and divided into an observation group (good prognosis,n=99) and a control group (poor prognosis,n=24) based on the prognosis. The relationship between the different alleles of ABCG2 gene polymorphism and the prognosis of TBI patients was analyzed,and the factors affecting the prognosis of TBI patients were analyzed. 【Results】 Of the 123 patients with TBI,24 cases(19.51%) had a poor prognosis,while the remaining 99 cases(80.49%) had a good prognosis. Univariate analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of age,Glasgow Coma Score (GCS) at admission,brain contusion,subarachnoid hemorrhage,and chest and abdominal injury (P<0.05). The proportion of the G locus of rs2032582 gene in the group with poor prognosis was higher than that in the group with good prognosis (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that GCS score at admission,rs2032582 allele,age,combined with brain contusion,combined with chest and abdominal injury,and combined with subarachnoid hemorrhage were independent factors affecting the prognosis of TBI patients (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 ABCG2 gene polymorphism is associated with the prognosis of TBI patients. GCS score at admission,rs2032582 allele,age,brain contusion,chest and abdominal injury,and subarachnoid hemorrhage are independent factors that affect the prognosis of TBI patients.
