Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effect of health education based on an internet platform on parental disease cognition and health behavior of children with influenza. 【Methods】A total of 116 parents of children with influenza were enrolled in the study from July 2016 to June 2017. They were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group with 58 each by prospective study. The control group was given routine health education and nursing interventions. The treatment group was given routine health education and nursing interventions in combination with web-based health education. The parental cognitive status, health behaviors, clinical symptoms and secondary infections of the two groups were compared. 【Results】The scores of flu-related knowledge, transmission routes, and preventive measures of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Health behaviors such as not spitting, washing hands frequently, coughing and sneezing, covering the mouth and nose, suffering from flu home isolation, and having the willingness to receive influenza vaccine during the high season of flu were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The time of fever, the disappearance time of dizziness symptoms, and the disappearance time of nasal symptoms were shorter than that in the control group. The secondary infection rate of 25.86% in the treatment group was lower than of 53.45% in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】Health education based on an internet platform can help raise the parental cognitive level of children with influenza, promote the development of healthy behaviors, and prevent the incidence of secondary infections in children.
