Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the effects of phloroglucinol combined with oxytocin on the labor process, numerical rating scale (NRS) score, and maternal and infant outcomes in full-term parturients. 【Methods】 A total of 128 full-term parturients in our hospital from September 2017 to February 2019 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by single and double numbering according to the order of admission. The control group was given oxytocin, while the observation group was given phloroglucinol on the basis of the control group. Labor process, NRS score, and maternal and infant outcomes of the two groups were compared. 【Results】 The first stage of labor, the second stage of labor and the total stage of labor in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05), while there was no significant difference in the third stage of labor between the two groups (P>0.05). The NRS score and the delivery time of placenta in the observation group were significantly lower and shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the Bishop score of cervix was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the amount of bleeding in 24 hours between the two groups (P>0.05). The rate of vaginal delivery in the observation group was 76.56%, which was higher than 54.69% in the control group; and the rate of cervical edema was 4.69%, which was lower than 15.63% in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of intrauterine distress, neonatal asphyxia, Apgar score and maternal adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 Phloroglucinol combined with oxytocin can effectively shorten the labor process of full-term parturients, relieve pain during delivery, improve the rate of vaginal delivery, reduce complications and promote placental delivery.
