Study on the Correlation between the Expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor, Hsp70 and IL-1β and the Prognosis of Patients with Spontaneous Cerebral Hemorrhage

Abstract:【Objective】To explore the correlation between the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), heat shock protein 70 (Hsp 70), interleukin-1β(IL-1β) and prognosis in patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (SICH).【Methods】From August 2016 to August 2018, 96 patients with SICH diagnosed and treated by surgery were divided into poor prognosis group (n=32) and good prognosis group (n=64) according to their prognosis. Serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor, Hsp 70 and IL-1β were detected by ELISA. GCS scores and hematoma volume were measured. ROC curve was used to analyze the predictive value of each index for SICH prognosis.【Results】The levels of vascular endothelial growth factor, Hsp70 and IL-1beta in SICH patients with poor prognosis were significantly higher than those in patients with good prognosis (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the amount of hematoma at admission was positively correlated with the expression levels of VEGF, Hsp70 and IL-1β(P<0.05), while the GCS score at admission was negatively correlated with the expression levels of VEGF, Hsp70 and IL-1beta (P<0.05). The levels of VEGF, Hsp70 and IL-1β had predictive value for the poor prognosis of SICH, with statistical significance (P<0.05); the GCS score at admission had the highest diagnostic value for the poor prognosis of SICH, with AUC (0.768 ± 0.047); there was significant difference between the levels of VEGF and the AUC score of GCS (P<0.05); there was no significant difference between the levels of plasma Hsp70 and IL-1β and the AUC score of GCS (P>0.05). )【Conclusion】Serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), Hsp70 and interleukin-1β are helpful to reflect the severity of SICH patients and have high clinical value in predicting poor prognosis.
