Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the relationship between plasma arteriosclerosis index (AIP) and uric acid level in patients with different grades of hypertension.【Methods】 A total of 443 patients with hypertension who were treated for the first time in the Department of cardiovascular medicine of our hospital from January to December 2018 wae selected as the research objects. According to the classification standard of hypertension, the patients were divided into three groups:hypertension group 1 (n=102), hypertension group 2 (n=177), hypertension group 3 (n=164). The blood biochemical indexes were detected by automatic blood cell and biochemical immune analyzer, and the general clinical data of patients were recorded at the same time.【Results】 There were significant differences in age, body mass index (BMI), uric acid (UA), creatinine (CR), cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B (apoB), and plasma atherosclerotic index (AIP) among the three groups. There were significant differences in the levels of hypertension, UA, TG, non-HDL-C, HDL-C, ApoA1 and AIP between the hyperuricemia group and the non hyperuricemia group (P<0.05). Spearman correlation analysis showed that UA was positively correlated with AIP, TG, non-HDL-C and apoB (P<0.05), and negatively correlated with HDL-C and ApoA1 (P<0.05). AIP was positively correlated with UA in patients with grade 3, 2 and 1 hypertension (r3=0.617, P<0.01; r2=0.59, P<0.01;r1=0.35, P<0.01). AIP had a good predictive value for patients with hyperuricemia (P<0.01). The area under ROC curve AUC=0.855, 95% CI(0.815, 0.895), sensitivity 87.5%, specificity 73.5%.【Conclusion】 AIP is positively correlated with the UA level of hypertension patients. Under different hypertension grades, the blood uric acid level and AIP level of patients have significant differences. The higher the grading, the higher the level of AIP and the higher the level of blood uric acid.
