Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the effects of combining suspension therapy with acupuncture at the paravertebral points on the balance function of patients with post-stroke hemiplegia.【Methods】 A total of 98 patients with post-stroke hemiplegia admitted to our hospital were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 49 patients in each group. The control group received conventional rehabilitation care, while the observation group received suspension therapy combined with acupuncture at the paravertebral points. After 3 months of rehabilitation care, the balance function and walking ability of both groups were compared.【Results】 After rehabilitation, the Berg Balance Scale (BBS), lower limb Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA-L), and Modified Barthel Index (MBI) scores of both groups were higher than those before treatment, with the observation group showing significantly better results (P<0.05). The gait analysis, 10-meter walking speed (10MWS), and Functional Ambulation Classification (FAC) scores of both groups were also higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), with the observation group outperforming the control group (P<0.05).【Conclusion】 Suspension therapy combined with acupuncture at the paravertebral points significantly improves the balance function and activities of daily living in patients with post-stroke hemiplegia, making it a valuable clinical approach for rehabilitation.
