The Effect of 15 ° "Hook Plate Angle" Clavicle Hook Steel Plate Internal Fixation on Postoperative Pain and Treatment Outcomes in Patients with Distal Clavicle Fractures

Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the effect of 15 ° "hook plate angle" clavicle hook plate internal fixation on postoperative pain and treatment outcomes in patients with distal clavicle fractures. 【Methods】A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 93 patients with distal clavicle fractures admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to February 2021. Among them, 46 patients were treated with 0 ° "hook plate angle" clavicle hook plate internal fixation (control group), and 47 patients were treated with 15 ° "hook plate angle" clavicle hook plate internal fixation (observation group). The surgical conditions, fracture healing, postoperative complications, visual analogue scale (VAS) scores before and after surgery, shoulder joint function, reduction effect, and anatomical structure recovery of the acromioclavicular joint were compared between the two groups. 【Results】There was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05) in the surgical time, intraoperative blood loss, and fracture healing time between the two groups. The VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery (P<0.05). The Constant Murley score, Neer score, and UCLA shoulder joint scoring system score of the observation group were all higher than those of the control group at 12 months after surgery (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05) in the postoperative reduction effect between the two groups, as well as in the beak lock distance, flexion range of motion, and external rotation range of motion 12 months after surgery. There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the two groups (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】Compared with traditional 0 ° "hook plate angle" clavicle hook plate internal fixation, the use of 15 ° "hook plate angle" clavicle hook plate internal fixation for patients with distal clavicle fractures during internal fixation surgery can reduce postoperative pain and promote shoulder joint function recovery.
