Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effect of risk prevention nursing based on orthopedic damage control on postoperative recovery of patients with scaphoid bone fractures. 【Methods】A total of 137 patients with scaphoid fractures admitted to our hospital from June 2019 to June 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group (receiving routine nursing combined with risk prevention nursing based on orthopedic damage control, n=68) and a control group (receiving routine nursing, n=69) using a stratified random sampling method. The Gartland-Weirey wrist joint function score, visual analog scale (VAS) score, wrist joint range of motion, quality of life comprehensive assessment questionnaire (GQOLI-74) score, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. 【Results】After intervention, the Gartland-Weirey wrist joint function score and VAS score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), while the wrist joint range of motion and GQOLI-74 score were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05); The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Risk prevention nursing based on orthopedic damage control can significantly improve wrist joint function, alleviate postoperative pain, improve patients' quality of life, and reduce the overall incidence of complications in patients with scaphoid fractures. It has a positive effect on postoperative recovery of patients with scaphoid fractures.
