Abstract:【Objective】To explore the correlation between the QRS wave duration and corrected QT interval (QTc) on electrocardiogram and the hospital clinical outcomes of patients with acute left heart failure. 【Methods】 A total of 87 patients with acute left heart failure admitted to the Yulin Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from May 2019 to May 2022 were selected. They were divided into a poor prognosis group (n=30) and a good prognosis group (n=57) according to their in-hospital prognosis. The general information, N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), soluble growth stimulation gene 2 protein (sST2), electrocardiogram parameters [QRS wave duration, corrected QT interval (QTc)], echocardiographic parameters [left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD)], and multi-factor Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the factors that affect the hospital clinical outcomes of patients with acute left heart failure. 【Results】The levels of NT-proBNP and sST2 in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The QRS wave duration and QTc in the poor prognosis group were longer than those in the good prognosis group (P<0.05), while the LVEF was lower than that in the good prognosis group (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in LVEDD between the two groups (P>0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that NT-proBNP, sST2, QRS wave duration, and QTc were factors that affected the hospital clinical outcomes of patients with acute left heart failure (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The QRS wave duration and QTc on electrocardiogram are significantly prolonged in patients with acute left heart failure, and they are related factors affecting the hospital clinical outcomes of these patients.
