Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effect of underwater exercise training on limb motor function and daily living ability in children with cerebral palsy. 【Methods】A total of 80 children with cerebral palsy admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to February 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method,with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine comprehensive rehabilitation training,while the observation group received combined water sports training on the basis of the control group. We compared the clinical efficacy of two groups of children,including the Gross Motor Function Scale (GMFM) and Fine Motor Function Scale (FMFM) scores before and after treatment. We also compared the number and time of 10 meters of walking,as well as the Berg Balance Scale (Berg) score,Daily Activity Power Scale (ADL),and the Functional Independence Measure for Children (WeeFIM) scores before and after treatment. 【Results】The total effective rate of clinical efficacy in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment,the GMFM scores and FMFM scores of the two groups of children were significantly higher than those of the same group before treatment,and the observation group was higher than the control group,with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05); The number of steps and time for walking 10 meters in both groups of children were shorter than before treatment in the same group,and the Berg score was higher than before treatment in the same group (P<0.05); After treatment,the number and time of walking 10 meters in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the Berg score was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05); The ADL and the WeeFIM scores of the two groups of children were significantly higher than those of the same group before treatment,and the observation group was higher than the control group,with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Underwater exercise training can effectively increase muscle strength,improve limb motor function,and improve daily living ability in children with cerebral palsy.
