Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effect of locking intramedullary nailing on the limb function and postoperative complications in patients with limb fractures. 【Methods】A total of 110 patients with limb fractures admitted to Baoji Central Hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,with 55 cases in each group. The control group was treated with dynamic compression plate internal fixation,while the observation group was treated with interlocking intramedullary nail internal fixation. Two groups of patients were compared in terms of perioperative indicators (including surgery time,intraoperative bleeding volume,hospital stay,and fracture healing time),postoperative joint function recovery,incidence of complications,and serum levels of inflammatory factors [interleukin-6 (IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and C-reactive protein (CRP)] before and after surgery.【Results】The observation group had shorter surgical time,intraoperative bleeding,hospital stay,and fracture healing time than the control group,with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The postoperative recovery of joint function in the observation group was better than that in the control group,with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in serum IL-6,TNF-α,and CRP levels between the two groups of patients before and after surgery (P>0.05); The postoperative serum levels of IL-6,TNF-α,and CRP in both groups of patients were higher than those in the same group before surgery,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group (12.73%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (29.09%),with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). 【Conclusions】 Compared with dynamic compression plate fixation,locking intramedullary nailing in treating limb fractures results in faster fracture healing,better recovery of limb motor function after surgery,and a lower incidence of complications.
