Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the expression of serum miR-138 in children with acute Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP). 【Methods】 A total of 90 children with acute MPP (observation group) treated in pediatrics of our hospital from February 2019 to may 2020 were selected. According to the severity of the disease, they were divided into mild disease group (n=42) and severe disease group (n=48). Another 84 healthy children with physical examination were selected as the control group; The expression level of miR-138 in serum was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction; Levels of serum TNF-α, Interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-1β and C-reactive protein (CRP) were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between miR-138 level and inflammatory factor level.【Results】 The expression level of serum miR-138 in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05); The expression level of serum miR-138 in the severe group was significantly higher than that in mild group(P<0.05). The levels of serum TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 and CRP in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression level of miR-138 in serum of children with acute MPP was positively correlated with the levels of serum TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 and CRP (all P<0.05).【Conclusion】 miR-138 is highly expressed in the serum of children with acute MPP, which is related to the severity of the disease and the level of inflammatory factors.
