Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the expression of pregnancy-associated protein-A (PAPP-A) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the decidual tissues of embryonic cessation and explore their correlation with ultrasound blood flow parameters . 【Methods】A total of 195 embryos, who were discontinued from the family planning clinic from November 2017 to February 2021 in the hospital and treated with abortion, were selected as the observation group. During the same period, 180 normal pregnant women who had induced abortion due to personal reasons were selected as the control group. Obtain the stripped decidual tissues of the two groups of pregnant women and measure the expression levels of PAPP-A and VEGF in the stripped tissues. Simultaneously, the uterine ultrasound blood flow parameters in the two groups of pregnant women were measured, including the pulsation index (PI), resistance index (RI), and systole. Ratio of maximum blood flow velocity to end-diastolic blood flow velocity (S/D). The expression levels of PAPP-A and VEGF in the two groups of decidual tissues and the changes in the parameters of uterine ultrasound blood flow in the two groups were compared And the correlation in between were analyzed. 【Results】 The expression levels of PAPP-A and VEGF proteins in the decidual tissue of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The uterine ultrasound blood flow parameters RI, PI, and S/D on the dominant and non-dominant sides in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that PAPP-A was positively correlated with VEGF expression level in the decidual tissues of patients with embryonic termination (r=0.824, P<0.05). It also showed that both PAPP-A and VEGF were negatively correlated with uterine ultrasound blood flow parameters RI, PI, and S/D (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】PAPP-A and VEGF in the decidual tissues of embryonic cessation patients can change the uterine hemodynamics and control the development of uterine hemorrhage by controlling angiogenesis.
