Abstract:【Objective】 To preliminarily explore the ultrasound (US) findings and clinical significance of fetal hydronephrosis. 【Methods】 Between January 2013 and February 2014, the imaging findings and clinical presentations were retrospectively reviewed for 49 USdiagnosed cases of feta lhydronephrosis. 【Results】 Among 5 cases with pelvis anteroposterior diameter (PAPD) ≥ 15 mm, 4 were diagnosed as congenital stricture of ureter after delivery; among 8 cases with PAPD between 10~14 mm, one was diagnosed as congenital stricture of ureter after delivery; among 36 cases with PAPD between 4~9 mm, only one was diagnosed as ureterectasia. 【Conclusion】 Ultrasonic examination may detect feta lhydronephrosis readily and has important clinical prognostic significance.
