Abstract：【Objective】To explore the effect of rehabilitation combined basic therapy on the facial nerve function and mental health status of patients with facial nerve palsy. 【Methods】A total of 200 patients with facial paralysis treated in Yulin Second Hospital were randomly divided into the study group(n=100) and the control group(n=100). Patients in both groups were given basic Western medicine treatment. Patients in the study group also received rehabilitation comprehensive therapy(Chinese medicine acupuncture, physiotherapy, functional rehabilitation training). Clinical efficacy, facial nerve function score, and symptom self-rating scale(SCL-90) scores of the two groups before and after intervention were compared. 【Results】After one month of treatment, the clinical efficacy of the study group(96%, 96/100) was better than that of the control group(87%, 87/100); and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, the difference in facial nerve function scores and SCL-90 scores between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05). After treatment, the facial nerve function score of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). Also, after treatment, the somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, psychosis symptom factors score of the study group were lower than the control group; the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Rehabilitation comprehensive therapy assisted basic Western medicine treatment of facial nerve paralysis is beneficial to the recovery of facial nerve function and improve the mental health of patients.
