Abstract：【Objective】 To investigate the effect of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) on cardiac function and quality of life in patients with atrial fibrillation. 【Methods】 A total of 112 patients with atrial fibrillation in our hospital from December 2016 to March 2018 was selected and divided into drug group and RFA group according to different treatment methods. Patients in the control group were treated with drugs, while patients in the observation group were treated with RFA. The cardiac function indexes before and 3 months after treatment were compared between the two groups, and the quality of life of the two groups before and after 3 months of treatment was analyzed. 【Results】 After treatment, the maximum value of left atrial volume index (LAVImax) and minimum left atrial volume index(LAVImin)of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); but there was no significant difference in the level of left ventricular diameter (LVD) between the observation group and the control group (P>0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in quality of life scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of general health and quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in the scores of mental health, social function and independent living ability between the two groups (P>0.05).【Conclusion】 RFA in the treatment of atrial fibrillation can improve the cardiac function, improve the general health and quality of life of patients, which is worthy of clinical reference.
