Abstract：【Objective】To explore the clinical efficacy and prognosis of enteral nutrition in the treatment of severe traumatic brain injury. 【Methods】Eighty-eight patients with severe traumatic brain injury admitted to our hospital from April 2015 to March 2018 were selected as the study objects. According to the treatment, the patients were divided into nasogastric tube group (n=43) and naso intestinal tube group (n=45). The patients were followed up for 6 months to compare the nutritional status, complications and prognosis of the two groups before and after treatment. Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors influencing the prognosis of patients. 【Results】After treatment, the improvement of body mass index, hemoglobin, serum albumin and prealbumin in the naso intestinal tube group was better than that in the nasogastric tube group (P<0.05); the incidence of nausea and vomiting, abdominal distention, gastrointestinal bleeding, pulmonary infection, reflux esophagitis and electrolyte disorder in the nasogastric tube group was significantly higher than that in the naso intestinal tube group (P<0.05). After 6 months follow-up, 32 patients (35.36%) had poor prognosis. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, GCS score, multiple injury, location of hematoma, and treatment were closely related to the prognosis of patients. 【Conclusions】Nasojejunointestinal nutrition can significantly improve the nutritional status and clinical prognosis of patients with severe traumatic brain injury.
