Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the impact of hierarchical management based on the CICARE communication model on the psychological state and quality of life in diabetic patients. 【Methods】 A total of 117 diabetic patients diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January to December 2024 were selected and divided into a control group(receiving routine nursing care, n=58) and an observation group(receiving hierarchical management based on the CICARE communication model, n=59) using the random number table method. The psychological state [Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90) score], disease cognitive level, self-management behavior [Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities(SDSCA) score] and quality of life [Diabetes Specific Quality of Life Scale(DSQL) score] of the two groups were compared before nursing intervention and 3 months after nursing intervention. 【Results】 Three months after nursing intervention, the scores of all dimensions of SCL-90 and DSQL in both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group. The disease cognitive level and SDSCA scores in both groups were higher than those before intervention, and the indexes in the observation group were higher than those in the control group. All the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Hierarchical management based on the CICARE communication model can effectively improve the psychological state and quality of life of diabetic patients, enhance their disease cognitive level and self-management ability, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
