Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the effect of halliwick therapy on lower limb motor skills in children with spastic cerebral palsy. 【Methods】A total of 80 children with spastic cerebral palsy treated in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were collected and divided into control group and observation group according to the wishes of their families, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine rehabilitation training, and the observation group received halliwick therapy on the basis of the control group. After 3 months of rehabilitation training, the lower limb balance ability, gross motor ability and fine motor ability of the two groups were compared. 【Results】 After 3 months of treatment, The balance ability and gross motor ability of lower limbs in the control group were not significantly improved (P>0.05), and the fine motor ability was enhanced (P<0.05); the balance ability, fine motor ability and gross motor ability of lower limbs in the observation group were significantly enhanced (P<0.05), and the fine motor ability was significantly stronger than that in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Halliwick therapy can effectively improve children's lower limb motor skills, improve children's overall coordination, especially improve children's gross motor ability of lower limbs, which is worthy of further clinical application.
