Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the relationship of ALC1 (amplification of liver cancer protein) and PLR-3 (protein tyrosine phosphatase-3) expression with the pathological features of esophageal cancer. 【Methods】Eighty cases of esophageal cancer tissue specimens obtained by surgical treatment in our hospital and 40 specimens of adjacent paracancerous tissues were selected. Western blotting analysis was used to detect the relative expression levels of ALC1 protein and PLR-3 protein in the two groups. The expression intensities of ALC1 protein and PLR-3 protein in esophageal carcinoma tissues with different TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, tumor differentiation degree and depth of invasion were analyzed. 【Results】The relative expression levels of ALC1 protein and PLR3 protein in esophageal carcinoma were significantly higher than those in adjacent tissues (P<0.05). The relative expression intensity of ALC1 protein in esophageal carcinoma tissues with different TNM staging and lymph node metastasis did show differently. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The relative expression intensity of PLR3 protein in esophageal carcinoma tissues with lymph node metastasis was statistically significant difference from that in esophageal cancer tissues without lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】The expression of ALC1 and PLR-3 in esophageal cancer tissues was significantly up-regulated and closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors.
