Abstract:【Objective】To explore the impact of motivational interviews based on trans-theoretical model on disease cognition and self-efficacy of asthma patients. 【Methods】A total of 194 patients with asthma in our hospital from August 2017 to March 2018 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 97 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing and health education intervention, and the observation group was given motivational interview health education based on cross theoretical model. The cognitive level of disease, self-efficacy and quality of life were compared between the two groups. 【Results】Five patients in each group dropped out of the study, and 92 patients completed the study. After the intervention, the cognitive level score and high-level cognitive rate of the observation group were higher than those before the intervention of the same group, the cognitive level of the control group was higher than that of the same group before the intervention, and the cognitive level score and high-level cognitive rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of self-management, general self-efficacy, achievement of results and coping problems in the two groups were higher than those before intervention in the same group, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of activity limitation of the two groups were significantly higher than those of the same group before intervention. The activity limitation, asthma symptoms, psychological status and care for their own health of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】Motivational interviewing based on trans-theoretical model can improve the cognitive level of asthma patients, promote the development of self-efficacy and improve the quality of life of patients.
