Abstract:【Objective】 To analyze the clinical characteristics of infantile hand injury in industrialized towns in China, and to propose targeted prevention measures. 【Methods】 A total of 326 infants and young children with hand injuries were admitted to our hospital from January 2007 to January 2017. Of these children, 300 were followed up with intact data. Retrospective analysis was performed for clinical characteristics to provide a scientific basis for the development of preventive measures. 【Results】 The study showed that in the past 10 years the number of children with hand injuries increased yearly. Most injuries occurred within the 8:00 am to 16:00 pm timeframe of a day. Mild (34.00%) and moderate (40.67%) injuries accounted for the majority of injuries, with relatively few serious injuries. More than half of kids' parents were workers (51.67%), the others were educators and clerks. 【Conclusion】 The results of this study suggest that the lack of parental supervision of children is a risk factor for hand injury in infants and young children in this area. It is suggested that community health education can prevent and reduce the occurrence of hand injuries.
