Abstract:【Objective】To explore the application effect of the comprehensive assessment tool for intraoperative pressure ulcer risk in the nursing of patients undergoing spinal correction surgery. 【Methods】A total of 118 patients who underwent spinal correction surgery in our hospital from January 2022 to July 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by the random number table method, with 59 cases in each group. The observation group conducted risk assessment using the comprehensive risk assessment tool for intraoperative pressure ulcers and implemented standardized nursing measures based on the assessment results. The control group received conventional care. The incidence of pressure ulcers, the incidence of postoperative complications, postoperative functional recovery, postoperative pain score [Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)] and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The incidence of pressure ulcers in the observation group was 15.25%, significantly lower than 35.59% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 5.08%, significantly lower than 22.03% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The time to get out of bed for the first time, the time to resume independent walking, and the wound healing time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group. The rate of delayed healing was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the VAS score was significantly lower than that in the control group. The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of each dimension of satisfaction in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】The comprehensive assessment tool for intraoperative pressure ulcer risk has a significant application effect in the nursing of patients undergoing spinal correction surgery. It can effectively reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers and postoperative complications, promote the functional recovery of patients, alleviate postoperative pain, and improve patient satisfaction.
