Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the clinical significance of cystatin C (Cys-C),high-sensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP) and uric acid (UA) in patients with cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). 【Methods】A total of 98 patients with CSVD admitted to our hospital from August 2016 to August 2017 were selected as the observation group, while 98 volunteers with normal cerebrovascular examination in our hospital were selected as the control group. All patients underwent MRI examination. Levels of cystatin C, high-sensitive C reactive protein and uric acid in two groups were compared. The patients with CSVD were further divided into the cognitive impairment group (n=54) and normal cognition group (n=44) and levels of cystatin C, high-sensitive C reactive protein and uric acid between two groups were compared. Risk factors and correlation of cognitive impairment were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis and Pearson correlation analysis. 【Results】Levels of cystatin C, high-sensitive C reactive protein and uric acid in the observation group were higher than those in the control group; The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The were no significantly differences of the levels of cystatin C and high-sensitive C reactive protein in the groups of cognitive impairment and normal cognition CSVD patients, however, the level of UA in the cognitive impairment group was higher than that in the cognitively normal group (P<0.05).Uric acid was an independent risk factor for the occurrence of CSVD and it was negatively correlated with total score of MoCA, executive ability, language capacity and delayed recall. 【Conclusion】The levels of cystatin C, high sensitive C reactive protein and uric acid in the patients with CSVD were elevated. The level of uric acid was a risk factor for cognitive impairment.
