Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the clinical efficacy of dexmedetomidine (Dex) combined with fentanyl anesthesia in comfort-oriented dental implant surgery. 【Methods】 A total of 60 patients undergoing dental implant surgery were randomly assigned to a control group and an observation group, with 30 patients in each group. Patients in the control group received the conventional anesthesia regimen, while those in the observation group received dexmedetomidine combined with fentanyl in addition to the conventional regimen. Perioperative indicators, analgesic efficacy, patient and physician satisfaction, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 The anesthesia duration and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) observation time were significantly longer in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05), and the Ramsay sedation score was significantly higher in the observation group (P<0.05). The postoperative 2-hour Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) pain score was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05). Both patient satisfaction and physician satisfaction scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 Dexmedetomidine combined with fentanyl can significantly improve the sedative and analgesic effects in patients undergoing comfort-oriented dental implant surgery, with a favorable safety profile.
