Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the prognostic value of combined detection of plasma D-dimer (D-D) and peripheral blood neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in patients with community-acquired bacterial liver abscess (CABHA).【Methods】 Plasma D-D and peripheral blood NLR levels were measured in 94 CABHA patients. Based on 6-month follow-up outcomes, patients were divided into a good prognosis group and a poor prognosis group. Factors influencing prognosis were analyzed, and the predictive value of combined D-D and NLR detection was evaluated.【Results】Among the 94 patients, 75 (79.79%) had good prognosis and 19 (20.21%) had poor prognosis. Logistic regression analysis showed that a history of diabetes, multiple abscesses, maximum abscess diameter >5 cm, and elevated serum D-D and NLR levels were all risk factors for the poor prognosis in CABHA patients (P<0.05). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) for predicting prognosis using D-D alone, NLR alone, and combined both D-D and NLR detection was 0.734, 0.726, and 0.797, respectively, with combined detection showing significantly better predictive performance than single indicator(Z=7.104, P<0.05).【Conclusion】 Plasma D-D and peripheral blood NLR levels can be used to evaluate the prognosis of patients with CABHA.
