Abstract:【Objective】To explore the effects of retrograde therapy of mother-baby endoscopy in diagnosis and treatment of appendicitis. 【Methods】To explore the diagnostic and therapeutic effects of retrograde hysteroscopy on appendicitis. Method: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 21 patients with appendicitis who visited the Endoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Center of our hospital from April 2022 to January 2023, including 13 males and 8 females. Diagnosis and treatment of patients using retrograde treatment technique with mother-baby endoscopy; The sub endoscopy entered the appendix cavity through the mother mirror channel, and underwent exploration and treatment under the direct view of the sub endoscopy, the treatment results was analyzed.【Results】During the surgery, it was found that the patient had varying degrees of edema of the appendix opening, congestion and swelling of the appendix mucosa, and enlargement of the appendix cavity. The stone removal and treatment process went smoothly, with a treatment time of 15-40(23.3±7.5) minutes, and no complications such as bleeding or perforation were observed. The patient's abdominal pain symptoms can be relieved immediately or within 1 day after treatment, and there was no infection or fever. After surgery, antibiotics are routinely used for 2-3 days before discharge. Complications and follow-up results: 21 patients were followed up for 2-10 months after surgery, with no recurrence of abdominal pain or infection during the follow-up period. 【Conclusion】The retrograde treatment technique of hysteroscopy can directly enter the appendix cavity for observation and operation, without the need for contrast agents and X-rays, making the diagnosis and treatment more accurate. It is effective for the treatment of non complex appendicitis and fecal stones in the appendix, providing a new choice for the diagnosis and treatment of appendiceal diseases.
