Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the value of balloon dilatation combined with pneumatic ballistic ultrasound lithotripsy in percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) for renal calculi. 【Methods】A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 90 patients with renal calculi who underwent PCNL from March 2020 to March 2022 in Baoji City People's Hospital. The patients were divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment methods, with 45 patients in each group. The observation group received balloon dilatation combined with pneumatic ballistic ultrasound lithotripsy, while the control group received fascial dilatation combined with holmium laser lithotripsy. Perioperative indicators (operation time, intraoperative blood loss, stone clearance rate, hospital stay) were compared between the two groups. Serum levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA), hemoglobin (Hb), and white blood cell count (WBC) were compared between the two groups before and after surgery. Postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.【Results】The observation group had a shorter operation time than the control group (P<0.05). After surgery, serum SOD and Hb levels in both groups were lower than preoperative levels, while MDA and WBC levels were higher than preoperative levels. The observation group had higher SOD and Hb levels than the control group, and lower MDA and WBC levels than the control group (P<0.05). The observation group had a lower incidence of postoperative complications than the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Balloon dilatation combined with pneumatic ballistic ultrasound lithotripsy in PCNL for renal calculi can shorten the operation time, reduce stress reactions, and decrease the incidence of postoperative complications. It is worth promoting.
