Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate the value of heat shock transcription factor 2 (HSF2),interleukin 23 (IL-23),and myeloid dendritic cells (MDC) in the evaluation of ulcerative colitis. 【Methods】 A total of 146 patients with UC admitted to our hospital from June 2019 to August 2021 (observation group) were selected,and another 73 healthy volunteers were selected as the control group. The serum levels of HSF2,IL-23,and MDC were compared between the observation group,the control group,and patients with UC of different conditions at admission. Pearson was used to analyze the correlation between the above indicators and the patient's condition,and the diagnostic value of the receiver operational characteristic curve (ROC curve) was used to analyze its diagnostic value for UC. 【Results】 The serum levels of HSF2,IL-23,and MDC in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The serum levels of HSF2,IL-23,and MDC in the active phase group were significantly higher than those in the remission phase group (P<0.05). The levels of serum HSF2,IL-23,and MDC in the three groups of patients were statistically significant (P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the serum levels of HSF2,IL-23,and MDC were positively correlated with the onset period and severity of the disease (all P<0.05). The ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) of serum HSF2,IL-23,and MDC levels for the diagnosis of UC was 0.795,0.832,and 0.856,respectively. The combined diagnosis AUC was 0.927,which was greater than a single indicator (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The serum levels of HSF2,IL-23,and MDC have certain evaluation value for the severity of UC patients,and can provide a reference for the clinical early diagnosis of UC.
