Abstract:【Objective】To explore the relationship between serum uric acid (SUA) levels and the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). 【Methods】A total of 132 patients with type 2 diabetes who were admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 were selected. According to whether a cardiovascular event occurred, patients were divided into the cardiovascular disease group (43 cases) and the non-cardiovascular disease group (89 cases).During the same period, 138 healthy people on physical examination were selected as the control group. SUA levels among groups were compared, and the correlation between the levels of SUA in T2DM patients and the occurrence of cardiovascular events was analyzed by Logistic multivariate analysis. 【Results】The level of SUA in the T2DM group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).The incidence of cardiovascular disease in T2DM patients was 32.58% (43/132), which was higher than 15.94% (22/132) in the control group (χ2=10.212,P=0.001).There were no significant differences in gender, age, course of diabetes, BMI, C-reactive protein (CRP), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), serum total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) between the cardiovascular disease group and the non-occurring group (P>0.05).The levels of SUA, HbA1c and SBP in the cardiovascular disease group were higher than those in the non-cardiovascular disease group (P<0.05). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis show that SUA, HbA1c and systolic blood pressure were independent risk factors for cardiovascular disease. 【Conclusion】SUA level is related to the risk of cardiovascular disease in 2T2DM patients.
