Abstract:【Objective】To explore the clinical value of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) in the diagnosis of left atrial thrombosis. 【Methods】A total of 163 patients with atrial fibrillation admitted to our hospital were enrolled in the study. Among them, 38 patients were diagnosed with atrial thrombosis by esophageal echocardiography (TEE). All patients underwent MSCT examination. The TEE results were used as the gold standard. The sensitivity, specificity, missed diagnosis rate, misdiagnosis rate and consistency kappa value of the diagnosis of left atrial thrombosis by MSCT were calculated. 【Results】A total of 163 patients with atrial fibrillation were enrolled in the MSCT scan. Among them, 62 patients had filling defects in the first phase scan, 57 patients had filling defects in the second phase scan; There were 53 patients who were diagnosed as filling defects in both first and second phase scans, of which 44 cases of intracavitary thrombosis and 9 cases of left atrial appendage thrombus were diagnosed. A total of 163 patients with atrial fibrillation underwent MSCT scan and 53 cases were diagnosed as atrial thrombosis. Of which, 36 cases were completely consistent with TEE. Among 108 patients who were diagnosed with no left atrial thrombus, only 2 cases were missed. The sensitivity of MSCT scan for diagnosis of left atrial thrombosis was 94.74%, specificity was 86.40%, missed diagnosis rate was 5.26%, misdiagnosis rate was 13.60%, and the kappa value was 0.713 with TEE examination. 【Conclusion】MSCT has a high consistency in the diagnosis of left atrial thrombosis and TEE, and its non-innovative characteristics have high application value in clinical.
