Abstract:【Objective】 To investigate expression level of aplasia Ras homologue member I (ARHI) and autophagy related gene Beclin1 (BECN1) in breast cancer tissues and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters of breast cancer. 【Methods】 The cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues of 82 breast cancer patients were collected in our hospital from May 2013 to May. The immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression levels of ARHI and BECN1 in two groups. The correlation between ARHI and BECN1 expression in breast cancer and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters were analyzed. 【Results】 The positive expression rates of ARHI and BECN1 in breast cancer tissues were significantly lower than those in normal adjacent tissues (P<0.05). ARHI was positively correlated with the expression of BECN1 in breast cancer tissues (P<0.05). The expression of ARHI was not correlated with age, clinical stage, vascular tumor thrombus, menstrual status, tumor size, family history of tumors, and nerve invasion of breast cancer patients (P>0.05), while it was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and tissue differentiation in breast cancer patients (P<0.05). BECN1 expression in patients with breast cancer was not significantly correlated with age, tumor size, family history of tumor, menstrual status, and nerve invasion (P>0.05), while was significantly correlated with degree of tissue differentiation, vascular tumor thrombus, clinical stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 ARHI and BECN1 are lowly expressed in breast cancer tissues, and the two indicators are positively correlated; ARHI expression is correlated with tissue differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis of breast cancer patients. BECN1 expression is correlated with clinical stage, tissue differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis, and vascular thrombus of breast cancer patients.
