Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the effect of outcome-oriented intervention program on the self-care ability of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. 【Methods】 A total of 106 patients with pelvic floor dysfunction admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected and divided into the control group (receiving routine intervention) and the observation group (receiving outcome-oriented intervention program) by random number table method, with 53 cases in each group. The total effective rate, urinary incontinence status [International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Short Form (ICIQ-SF) score], self-care ability [Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale (ESCA) score], and negative emotions [Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores] were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 After intervention, the total effective rate of the observation group was 83.02%, which was higher than 66.04% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of ICIQ-SF, SAS and SDS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the scores of all dimensions of ESCA were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The outcome-oriented nursing program can significantly improve pelvic floor muscle strength, relieve urinary incontinence symptoms, enhance self-care ability, and alleviate negative emotions in patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, which is conducive to improving the overall quality of life of patients.
