Abstract:【Objective】To analyze the prognostic value of serum NT proBNP and Cys-C levels in elderly patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) combimed with acute renal injury (AKI).【Methods】 The clinical data of 104 patients with CHF and AKI aged ≥ 60 years in our hospital from July 2016 to March 2018 were analyzed retrospectively. According to the prognosis of patients who were followed up for 6 months, they were divided into good prognosis group (n=73) and bad prognosis group (n=31) The difference of serum NT proBNP and Cys-C levels in patients with different functional grades, and the influence of NT-proBNP and Cys-C levels on the prognosis of patients were collected and compared.【Results】 The levels of NT proBNP and Cys-C in patients with poor prognosis at admission were significantly higher than those in patients with good prognosis (P<0.05).The levels of NT-proBNP and Cys-C in patients with NYHA Ⅳ were significantly higher than those of patients with NYHA Ⅱ and Ⅲ, and the levels of NT -proBNP and Cys-C in patients with NYHA Ⅲ were significantly higher than those of patients with NYHA Ⅱ (P<0.05).The levels of NT proBNP and Cys-C in the dead subgroup were significantly higher than those in the non dead subgroup (P<0.05). The serum levels of NT-proBNP and Cys-C were the risk factors of poor prognosis in CHF patients with AKI (ORNT-proBNP=1.34,ORCys-C=1.49,all P<0.05); NT-proBNP, Cys-C and their combination predict the area under ROC curve of CHF patients with AKI was 0.676, 0.749 and 0.842, respectively.【Conclusion】Detection of serum NT-proBNP and Cys-C levels can better predict the prognosis of elderly patients with CHF with AKI, and the combined detection of them has a higher predictive value.
