Abstract:【Objective】To explore the application effect of functional rehabilitation training based on the SystemCHANGE model in patients after ankle fracture surgery. 【Methods】Eighty-two patients with ankle fractures treated in our hospital from May 2019 to June 2022 were selected and divided into an observation group (receiving functional rehabilitation training under the SystemCHANGE model) and a control group (receiving conventional rehabilitation intervention) via the random number table method, with 41 patients in each group. Ankle joint function, pain condition, rehabilitation training compliance, and activities of daily living (ADL) ability were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 After intervention, ankle joint function scores in both groups improved compared to baseline (P<0.05), with the observation group demonstrating significantly higher scores than the control group (P<0.05). Seven days after intervention, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores decreased in both groups (P<0.05), with the observation group showing lower scores than the control group (P<0.05). Rehabilitation training compliance in the observation group was 92.68%, significantly higher than 75.61% in the control group (P<0.05). At discharge, Barthel Index scores increased in both groups compared to admission (P<0.05), with the observation group achieving higher scores than the control group (P<0.05).【Conclusion】Functional rehabilitation training based on the SystemCHANGE model effectively improves ankle joint function, reduces pain, enhances ADL ability, and increases rehabilitation compliance in patients after ankle fracture surgery.
