Abstract:【Objective】To explore the expression of miR-200b-5p and Adenosine triphosphate family protein 2 (ATAD2) in cervical cancer tissues and their relationship with prognosis. 【Methods】A total of 124 patients with cervical cancer who underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from January 2019 to March 2020 were selected in the study. All cervical cancer tissue specimens and para-cancerous tissues (≥5 cm from the cancerous tissue) were collected. The expression levels of miR-200b-5p mRNA and ATAD2 mRNA in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were compared. After 18 months follow-up, the prognosis of cervical cancer patients was counted and divided into the death group and the survival group according to the prognosis. Compare the clinical data of patients in the death group and survival group. Logistic multivariate regression was used to analyze the risk factors affecting the prognosis of cervical cancer patients. A receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was made, and the area under the curve (AUC) was used to analyze the predictive power of the expression of miR-200b-5p and ATAD2 in cervical cancer tissues on the prognosis of cervical cancer patients. 【Results】The miR-200b-5p mRNA in cervical cancer tissue was lower than that in adjacent tissues (P<0.05), while ATAD2 mRNA was higher than that in adjacent tissues (P<0.05). After 18 months of follow-up, the death rate of cervical cancer patients was 17.74%. In the death group, the proportion of stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ, the proportion of lymph node metastasis, the proportion of poorly differentiated degree, the proportion of muscle invasion depth>1/2, the proportion of ATAD2 mRNA in cervical cancer tissue was higher than those in the survival group (P<0.05), while cervical cancer tissue miR-200b-5p level was lower than in the survival group (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that the clinical stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ, poorly differentiated, low expression level of miR-200b-5p mRNA and high level ATAD2 mRNA in cervical cancer tissues were all risk factors affecting the prognosis of cervical cancer patients (OR=2.835, 2.793 , 3.080, 3.364, respectively, P<0.05). ROC analysis showed that the AUCs of miR-200b-5p mRNA and ATAD2 mRNA in cervical cancer tissues to predict the prognosis of cervical cancer death were 0.793 and 0.860, respectively. 【Conclusion】The level of miR-200b-5p mRNA is low in cervical cancer tissues, while ATAD2 mRNA level is high. Both miR-200b-5p mRNA and ATAD2 mRNA in cervical cancer tissue have a high predictive power for the prognosis of cervical cancer patients. Thus they can be used as important reference indicators for evaluating the cervical cancer prognosis.
