Anesthetic and Coagulation Effects of Fentanyl Combined with Dexmedetomidine on Percutaneous Vertebroplasty in Patients with Vertebral Compression Fracture

Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the anesthetic and coagulation effects of fentanyl combined with dexmedetomidine(Dex)on percutaneous vertebroplasty( PVP) in patients with vertebral compression fractures. 【Methods】A total of 94 patients with vertebral compression fractures underwent PVP were divided into the control group (n=47) and the observation group. (n=47) with random number table method. The control group was given remifentanil combined with propofol anesthesia. While the observation group was anesthetized with fentanyl and Dex . The anesthetic effect, coagulation function and safety were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The anesthesia recovery time and extubation time of the observation group were all shorter than those of the control group (P<0.05). The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The Ramsay sedation score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The time of PT and APTT in the observation group was longer than those in the control group, while the fibrinogen (FIB) and platelet (PLT) levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in safety between the two groups after operation (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】Fentanyl combined with dexmedetomidine achieves good anesthetic effect on percutaneous vertebroplasty in patients with vertebral compression fractures. It can improve coagulation function with safe clinical application.
