Abstract 【Objective】 To study the expression of miR-125 and its clinical significance in cervical cancer tissues. 【Methods】 The expression of mir-125 was detected by RT-PCR in 110 cases of cervical cancer and its corresponding normal tissues. The correlation between the expression of mir-125 and the pathological characteristics and prognosis of patients with cervical cancer was analyzed. The expression of TRAF6 protein in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry.【Results】 The expression of mir-125 in cervical cancer was significantly lower than that in adjacent normal tissues (P<0.05); the expression level of mir-125 was correlated with tumor differentiation, clinical stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05); the median survival time of high expression of mir-125 was higher than that of low expression patients(P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The low expression of mir-125 in cervical cancer is related to the degree of differentiation, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, parauterine invasion and prognosis of cervical cancer, suggesting that mir-125 can be used as a new target for clinical diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer and an indicator for prognosis evaluation.
