Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the clinical application value of low-dose enhanced pulmonary artery computed tomography angiography (CTA) in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism among puerperal women. 【Methods】 A total of 82 postpartum women with suspected pulmonary embolism who underwent pulmonary artery CTA examination in our hospital from January 2022 to January 2025 were enrolled. According to the dosage of iodinated contrast agent, they were divided into conventional-dose group and low-dose group, with 41 cases in each group. The two groups were compared in terms of vascular enhancement CT value, excellent and good rate of image quality, radiation dose parameters including volume CT dose index (CTDIvol), dose-length product (DLP) and effective dose (ED), as well as the incidence of adverse reactions related to examination. 【Results】 The CT values of the left and right pulmonary veins in the low-dose group were lower than those in the conventional-dose group, with statistically significant differences . There was no significant difference in the excellent and good rate of image quality between the two groups . The radiation dose indicators of CTDIvol, DLP and ED in the low-dose group were significantly lower than those in the conventional-dose group. The overall incidence of adverse reactions in the low-dose group was markedly lower than that in the conventional-dose group . 【Conclusion】 Low-dose enhanced pulmonary artery CTA can effectively reduce radiation exposure dose and lower the risk of adverse reactions induced by iodinated contrast agents on the premise of ensuring the image quality required for clinical diagnosis. It is more suitable for the special physiological state of puerperal women, and possesses high clinical popularization and application value.
