Abstract：【Objective】To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of depression, anxiety and stress scale (DASS-42) in obese adolescents.【Methods】A convenient sampling method was adopted to select 120 obese adolescents who visited the nutrition clinic of our hospital from January to September 2024. The Chinese version of DASS-42 was used to assess the depression, anxiety or stress of obese adolescents. 20 adolescents were randomly selected for re-evaluation 2 weeks later.【Results】The Cronbach's α coefficients of depression, anxiety and stress in Chinese version of DASS-42 were 0.966, 0.974 and 0.974, respectively, and the retest reliability of the scale was 0.891. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the Chinese version of DASS-42 had a good fit index (χ2/df=3.048, CFI=0.988, TLI=0.980, RMSEA=0.058, SRMR=0.009).【Conclusion】The Chinese version of DASS-42 has good reliability and validity in adolescent obese patients, and can be used as an evaluation tool related to depression, anxiety and stress.
