Clinical Efficacy of Carboprost Tromethamine Combined with Oxytocin in the Treatment of Postpartum Hemorrhage in high-risk Pregnant Women Undergoing Vaginal Delivery

Abstract：【Objective】To investigate the clinical efficacy of combining carboprost tromethamine with oxytocin in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage in high-risk pregnant women undergoing vaginal delivery. 【Methods】A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 82 high-risk pregnant women with postpartum hemorrhage who underwent vaginal delivery in our hospital from February 2019 to February 2023. They were divided into the control group (treated with oxytocin) and the observation group (treated with carboprost tromethamine combined with oxytocin) according to different treatment methods, with 41 cases in each group. Two groups were compared in terms of general information, clinical efficacy, incidence of postpartum adverse reactions, bleeding volume at 1, 3, and 9 hours postpartum, as well as peak systolic velocity (PSV) and pulsatility index (PI) of uterine arteries before treatment, 15 minutes after treatment, and 1 hour after treatment.【Results】The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The amount of bleeding in the observation group at 3 and 9 hours postpartum was lower than that in the control group at 3 and 9 hours postpartum (P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, both groups showed a decrease in PSV and PI at 15 minutes and 1 hour after treatment (P<0.05); The PSV of the observation group was higher than that of the control group at 15 minutes and 1 hour after treatment, and the PI was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】The use of oxytocin combined with carboprost tromethamine in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage in high-risk pregnant women undergoing vaginal delivery is effective, can improve maternal hemodynamic indicators, and has high safety. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
